Our Sponsored Ticket Program

This year we have a special community partnership with local organization AALEAD as the foundation for our first Sponsored Ticket Program!

Asian American LEAD (AALEAD) is a regional non-profit organization that supports low-income and underserved Asian Pacific American youth with educational empowerment, identity development, and leadership opportunities through after school, summer, and mentoring programs. AALEAD’s highly dedicated staff and Board deliver specialized after school programs, one-on-one mentoring, academic support resources, and life skill development to their youth. Their staff also assist parents with school related issues affecting their children.

The goal of AALEAD is to provide a nurturing environment and culturally sensitive guidance so each youth we serve will be a contributing member to is or her community. AALEAD’s programs currently serve over 400 youth in the District of Columbia; Montgomery County, MD; and Fairfax County, VA who represent 16 different Asian ethnicities. AALEAD envisions a United States in which low-income and underserved Asian Pacific American youth, and youth of all backgrounds, are equipped with the tools and opportunities to define themselves and their own futures

Every year, we hear from supporters of Kollaboration who are not able to make it to the showcase, but want to be able to contribute to the show in one way or another. At the same time, we know there are many APA youths in the DC area who would love the chance to attend the show, but often lack the means to get themselves a ticket!

The goal of our Sponsored Ticket Program is to create a win-win, by providing a simple, no-frills way for our supporters to help local high school students experience a unique community event. The Sponsored Tickets are sold as an additional option through Eventbrite, at the lowest cost possible.
